Workington Leisure Centre opens

J&J Electrical and Cumbria Mechanical recently completed the M&E sub contract package for the new build Workington Leisure Centre with Robertson Construction Ltd for Allerdale Council. The £11m scheme was procured through the SCAPE framework and awarded to Willmott Dixon who subsequently employed Robertson Construction as their regional delivery partner.

J&J Electrical and Cumbria Mechanical utilised our local workforce and ran the sub contract package from our Workington office. We worked with Lakes College West Cumbria in offering students a 1 week work placement opportunity.

Managing Director of J&J Electrical and Cumbria Mechanical Graham Mossop said – “This is a significant design and build project completed for Robertson Construction and Allerdale Borough Council. A large percentage of our workforce reside in the Allerdale Borough area and with their families will get full use out of this fantastic development. We are proud to have been associated with this project”
